VHC 3-2600 XTS EDITION

AXA has developed a special model based on our successful travelling column machining centre VHC, which will be on show at AMB as the VHC 3-2600 XTS EDITION.

As with our ‘standard’ models, the swivelling spindle is the core element of the machine in the EDITION - complete machining thanks to 5-sided machining of workpieces in a single set-up! For even more flexibility, the VHC EDITION is also equipped with the AXA rotary table RTA 4TF (Ø 1000 mm).

At AMB, the VHC with Heidenhain TNC7 control will be demonstrated live under machining conditions. In addition to power milling, AXA will also be demonstrating gear skiving. Gear skiving enables the highly productive machining of gears, which is characterised above all by the high cutting speeds that can be achieved.

VPC 45 DASK with double axis tilting head

Our VPC gantry centre upgraded with a 2-axis swivel head - this is the AXA VPC 45 DASK, which is particularly suitable for highly dynamic 5-axis simultaneous machining. When machining moulded parts, it impresses with maximum shape and contour accuracy as well as outstanding surface quality. The swivelling axes are equipped with hydraulic clamping so that the swivel head can be used universally for different applications.

The swivelling axes of the VPC 45 DASK are continuously interpolating and can therefore be swivelled during machining. The entire head swivels around the Z-axis, while the spindle in the fork swivels around the X-axis. The loss of height between the vertical and horizontal spindle position caused by the fork head design is largely compensated for by a gantry elevation.
