AXA Machining Centres at AMB Stuttgart
Experience Automation, Flexibility and Digital Manufacturing Live
From September 15 to 19, 2026, AXA will present innovative solutions for economical machining at AMB in Stuttgart. Visit us in Hall 9 | Booth 9C12 and experience three travelling column machining centres showing how productivity, flexibility and process reliability can be combined for modern manufacturing.
Our trade fair presentation focuses on automation, 5-axis machining, digitalisation and customer-specific machine concepts. Look forward to live machining demonstrations, intelligent automation solutions and the latest CNC technology.

VSR 2 – Compact 5-Axis Machining with Intelligent Automation
The VSR 2 combines high precision with an exceptionally compact footprint. Occupying only around 12 m² of floor space, this compact travelling column machining centre is the ideal solution for manufacturers looking to automate production despite limited shop floor space.
At AMB, we will present the VSR 2 together with the Kösters Cube Loader – a particularly space-saving automation solution for workpiece handling.
A further highlight is the standard 2-axis tilting rotary table, which swivels around the Y-axis. This design provides an unobstructed view of the workpiece at all times, making it easier to detect potential collisions and monitor the machining process.
Highlights:
- Extremely compact travelling column machining centre with 2-axis tilting rotary table
- Automated workpiece handling with the Kösters Cube Loader
- XTS tool magazine with one tower and two chains, each with 60 tool places
- Traverse ranges: X = 1100 / Y = 600 / Z = 700 mm
- Siemens SINUMERIK ONE with Protect MyMachine and Digital Twin
- Live machining demonstrations at the booth

VHC 2 – Maximum Flexibility for Complex Machining Tasks
With this VHC 2, AXA presents a versatile 5-axis machining centre designed for a wide range of workpieces and machining applications.
The machine combines a tilting spindle with a horizontal rotary table, a vertical rotary table and a tailstock. This configuration enables highly flexible machining of different workpiece sizes and clamping situations – a decisive advantage for manufacturers with frequently changing production demands.
In addition, this customer-specific machine concept features two side openings in the machine enclosure, allowing long workpieces to pass through the working area.
The VHC 2 is also equipped with Siemens SINUMERIK ONE.
Highlights:
- Flexible 5-axis machining
- High-performance tilting spindle with HSK A63 tool interface
- Equipped with a horizontal rotary table, vertical rotary table and tailstock providing maximum flexibility for a wide range of workpiece geometries
- XTS tool magazine with one tower and two chains, each with 42 tool places
- Traverse ranges: X = 1760 / Y = 600 / Z = 850 mm

VCC 50 – High Machining Performance, Tailored to Customer Requirements
The VCC 50 is designed for high-performance vertical machining and showcases the extensive customisation options available with AXA machining centres.
The machining centre at AMB was specially developed for a customer. To meet the customer's production requirements, the X-axis travel was extended to 2050 mm, and the machine design was adapted accordingly.
Featuring a powerful vertical spindle with an SK50 tool interface, the VCC 50 is ideally suited for demanding metal cutting applications. Visitors can see the machine in action during live machining demonstrations.
Highlights:
- High-performance vertical spindle with SK50 tool interface
- High machining performance
- Customer-specific machine concept
- Disc-type tool magazine with 30 tool stations
- Travels: X = 2050 / Y = 750 / Z = 850 mm
- Live machining demonstrations at the booth
